The system of the chaff collector type No 30 bears a built-in independent air pump electro-motor system by which the drawing of the smoke and the chaffs from the main part of the machine is performed. The electric motor, which is placed at the top of the arrangement, is of three phase current 380V, it has power of 1.5 HP and it works at 3000r/min.
The special blades of the centrifugal chamber achieve an almost complete separation of the chaffs (peel) from the smoke to such an extend that at the output the content of peel in the smoke is lower than 1%. The coffee chaffs ends up in the collection space at the bottom of the machine, from where they are removed through the cleaning port.
The main advantage of this particular arrangement is that it forwards the chaffs through the air-pump, whose propeller pulverises them, reducing the volume significantly, and as a result the quantity of the chaffs that can be stored in the storing space is increased, before this needs to be cleaned.
